Using energy wisely at home is an important way for all of us to control our electric costs, reduce our environmental impact and support the PUD’s efforts to meet our community’s growing energy needs through conservation and renewable energy sources. We all have opportunities to save energy through both simple actions like flipping switches and unplugging unused appliances, as well as investments like home weatherization and efficient appliances.

Quick & Easy Tips

Close the curtains and use an ENERGY STAR ceiling fan on warm days instead of turning on the air conditioning.

Use a crock pot, toaster oven, or microwave instead of your full-sized range or oven to keep your home cooler and save energy.

Call us to recycle your old refrigerator or freezer and we’ll pay you $30 for it. Get the details.

Replace that old refrigerator with an ENERGY STAR model and we’ll give you a rebate of $50. Get the details.
