The Washington State Cybersecurity Summits brought together industry leaders and policymakers to identify how we can build a better defense network, combat cyberattacks and train the next generation of cyber professionals.
On February 29, 2016, the PUD partnered with several organizations to cosponsor Washington State Cybersecurity Summit 3 at the University of Washington. Keynote speakers were Scott Charney, Corporate V.P. for Trustworthy Computing at Microsoft and Patricia Hoffman, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Energy Office of Electricity Delivery & Energy Reliability. Other presenters included the Washington State National Guard, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Navy, T-Mobile and Critical Infomatics. The summit explored building better defense networks, new cyber technologies and creation of more resilient systems.
