Our Champion of Change
< All StoriesThe one constant in life is change. For PUD Program Manager Lee Banghart, that means job security.
Lee works with folks inside and outside of the PUD to keep up on trends and future capabilities of our digital customer experience tools. He leads our group that takes a look at our customer self-service options, such as our online MySnoPUD portal, and how we can improve. Lee has created a positive and engaging environment where all members are encouraged to share ideas, discuss challenges and offer feedback about upcoming enhancements.
“Lee’s positive attitude is well known, and he goes out of his way to create an encouraging environment where people can deliver their best,” said John Hoffman, the PUD’s Chief Customer Officer.
Lee’s commitment to communication and positively navigating change has created enhanced experiences for our customers and improved the culture for our employees. He works closely with other PUD teams to ensure changes are tested and rollouts go smoothly.
According to Lee, his favorite achievements are what he calls, “small changes, big wins.” He says that often a change or suggestion may be relatively small – like labeling something differently – but that small change can have a big impact. One example is the ability for a customer to edit their Autopay option in MySnoPUD. Previously, customers had to fully cancel and then restart Autopay if they needed to make a change. Convincing the vendor to expedite the change helped make things easier for everyone who needed to adjust their payment option.
Lee is known for his humility, dedication, and commitment to improvement, and is eager to dole out praise to everyone he gets to work with on a daily basis.
“I want to give thanks for all the patience and grace given to me over the years,” Lee said. “I may not be the quickest, but like my old Call Center Manager would say, I do try to be thorough!”
